In nuclear imaging prior to sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in breast cancer, scanning protocols are generally based on planar scintigraphy with Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography combined with Computed Tomography (SPECT/CT) used exclusively in cases of inadequate sentinel lymph node (SLN) visualisation. We investigated whether only a SPECT/CT 2h p.i. could replace our planar protocol.
